Ontario Northland GP9 Body

Michael Taylor

Unidentified GP9 body sitting on a flat car outside the North Bay shops contrasting the old green livery with the new yellow livery carried by SD40-2 #1735. Note the large winterization hatch covering the rear fan on the GP9, this captured warm radiator air and fed it back to the engine air intakes.

Photos were taken at the railways shops during a NMRA Regional convention tour in North Bay, Ontario in October 1, 1977..
