Norfolk Southern #9434

Wednesday March 27th, 2002 saw a surprise wet snow fall followed by a clear sunny day. Later the snow completely melted during the early afternoon. At about 10:00 am Norfolk Southern's C40-9W 9434 & 9374 head an eastbound freight of automotive high-cube cars around the "cow path" and into Hamilton Junction. The tracks leading to the left are the CPR line to Hamilton which is also used by GO's commuter trains.

9434 was built by General Electric in 2000 and is rated at 4000 hp and rides on C-C trucks.
