G&E 4161 at Goderich.

The Goderich & Exeter Railway took over the CN operations in the Goderich area in April 1992 as part of RailTex and was then absorbed into RailAmerica. Headquarters of the G&E are in Goderich.

4161 was built in 1953 as a GP7 numbered Kansas City Southern 161. It was turned into an unpowered slug by the KCS and renumbered 4161. The Goderich & Exeter acquired the loco in 1996 from the Dallas, Garland & Northeastern Railroad where it was DGNO 4161. It was photographed at Goderich on Friday August 22nd, 2003.
