GEXR 4019 switching at Kitchener

The Goderich & Exeter Railway took over the CN operations in the Goderich area in April 1992 as part of RailTex and was then absorbed into RailAmerica. Headquarters of the G&E are in Goderich. 

4019 is an EMD GP40 built in April 1966 (serial number 31888). It started life as N&W 1348, then NS 1348 following their merger, was sold to Central Oregon & Pacific and finally in 1988 was acquired by the Goderich-Exeter Railway as their 4019.
