GEXR 3856 switching at Stratford

The Goderich & Exeter Railway took over the CN operations in the Goderich area in April 1992 as part of RailTex and was then absorbed into RailAmerica. Headquarters of the G&E are in Goderich. 

3856 is an EMD GP38 built in August 1969 (serial number 35183). It started life as GM&O 720, then ICG 9539 followed by IC 9539. It was sold  to New England Central as NECR 9539. It was acquired by the Goderich-Exeter Railway later in April 1999 and numbered GEXR 3835.
