GEXR 177 at Stratford
The Goderich & Exeter Railway took over the CN operations in the Goderich area in April 1992 as part of RailTex and was then absorbed into RailAmerica. Headquarters of the G&E are in Goderich.

177 is a GMD GP9 built in May 1960 (serial number A1814) for the Cartier Railway as their number 1. At some time the Cartier renumbered it 51. It was later sold to Intermountain Western numbered 177 and then passed to Mid Michigan before being acquired by the GEXR in 1992.

77 has been stored out of use for some time at Stratford. Photographed on Wednesday April 6th, 2005.
