The Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia Railway (subsidiary of RailAmerica) runs easterly from a connection with the CNR at Truro, NS to Sydney, NS. 907 is an EMD SD45-2 (3600 hp, 2686 kW) riding on C-C trucks. It was built in November 1972 (serial number 7382-3) as Clinchfield 3609, then Conrail 8967, and CSXT 8967 following the sale of Conrail. CSXT sold the locomotive to Helm Financial who renumbered it as HATX 907 and then leased it to RailAmerica for use on the CB&CNS. 907 was the third locomotive in an eastbound freight departing from the yard in Truro, Nova Scotia on Sunday August 29th, 2004. |
