Auxiliary power-cab unit (APCU)
#900 was converted in 1974 from an Ontario Northland
Railway FP7A #1503 for use on GO trains. To see a similar loco in ONR
livery click here. In 1985 there was a shortage of VIA equipment and on weekends there was a GO set used on trains 71 & 76 of the Toronto-Windsor return trips. This photo from October 1985 has GO 900 was at the rear of train 71 as it passes through Bayview Junction and starts up the Dundas sub. |
