Sächsisch-Böhmische Eisenbahngesellschaft (SBE) operate a mostly daily service between Zittau and Eibau using ex-DB 4-wheel railbuses in a varied collection of liveries.
Railcar VT57 was built by MAN in 1962 (works number 146590) as VT98 9808, then DB 798 808 with the 1969 renumbering. It was sold to Dürener Kreisban where it was their VT206 and then to the Hochwaldbahn as their VT57 and still carries that name on the sides.

SBE railcar VT57 moves from the siding into Zittau station in preparation for working train SBE82881 (14:42 to Eibau) on Thursday May 8th, 2003.
