RhB 618 at Chur

Rhätische Bahn is a metre gauge railway network in southeastern Switzerland running from junctions with the SBB at Landquart and Chur to St. Moritz and Davos. This part of their system is electrified at 11,000 volts.

Locomotive 618 is a Ge4/4 II introduced from 1973. It rides on 2 4-wheel trucks (4 powered axles, hence 4/4) with a power rating of 1700 kW, 2280 hp and a top speed of 90 km/h, 56 mph..

618 "Bergün/Bravuogn" departs Chur with train R651 (13:52 to Arosa) on Friday May 16th, 2003.
