Kufstein Castle

Kufstein sits astride the Inn River as it flows north from the Tyrol into Germany. The fortress ( Festung Kufstein) is built on the eastern hillside overlooking the river and the railway station (bahnhof) is on the west side. The station is served by DB trains to Germany and by ÖBB trains to Austria.

Once part of Germany, it is located on the autobahn running from Munich to Innsbruck.
