| CP Rail 9019 was built by GMD (serial number 4825) in 1988. It is a
SD40-2F rated at 3000 hp. Type SD40-2F consists of 25 locomotives built on
order C469 between November and December 1988 and is unique to the CP who preferred
the SD40's prime mover (645 to the 710 in use by 1988). It uses the CNR
inspired "Draper-Taper" (cut out behind the cab) to improve
rearward vision.
